* I’ve been working out with Darren since the last 18 months just after I had my second daughter. I’ve lost 15kgs of post pregnancy weight and have never been fitter. Darren’s biggest strength is that he works on your mind. He helps you to visualize your goals, the body that YOU want and then constantly encourages and cajoles you along. There are days when I think I haven’t got it in me and almost want to cancel the workout but I know that once I head down he will somehow make me work out to my maximum. What I really like about Darren is that he focuses on form and technique and doesn’t push you for reps. He shows you how to improve your technique so that you’re doing the exercise in it’s purest form. Darren is very mindful of injuries and whilst my usual response would be that I should take a break till my injury heals, his attitude is very much about finding alternate exercises, which avoid the injured area but still give you a good workout. Importantly, his focus is not just on the exercises that you do when you’re working out with him but also on food intake. He provides advice on diet and nutrition to complement your weight loss regime. Above all, he makes me believe I can do it and indeed when it comes down to it I can!
